Sri Lankan Filmmakers Invited to
Compete at 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival
National Film Corporation, calling on local filmmakers to submit entries for
the prestigious regional festival offering prizes of up to USD 5,000.
The Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has formally communicated to the National Film Corporation that the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival will take place from 28 June to 4 July 2026 in Da Nang, Vietnam. The festival is organised by the Vietnam Film Development Association in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Da Nang.
This annual event has established itself as a significant platform for promoting Asian cinema, encouraging cultural exchange, and strengthening collaboration among filmmakers across the region. The festival programme will include film screenings, competitions, and networking opportunities with regional and international industry professionals.
The organisers have extended a special invitation to Sri Lankan filmmakers to submit their films for participation, with eligible entries competing for awards of up to USD 5,000. Films produced between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026 are eligible for submission.
