National Film Corporation Bids Farewell to

Ms. Olivia Bellemere, Counsellor for Cultural Affairs and Cooperation at the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka.

The National Film Corporation (NFC) of Sri Lanka hosted a farewell reception in honour of Ms. Olivia Bellemere, Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to strengthening cultural cooperation between France and Sri Lanka, particularly in the field of cinema.

IN ATTENDANCE

Mr. Sudath Mahaadivulwewa, Chairman of the National Film Corporation; Board Members Dr. Sunil Wijesiriwardena and Mr. Mahindapala; representatives of the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives; Mr. Dammith Fonseka, who delivered the tribute address; General Manager Mr. Ruwan Premarathne; Deputy General Manager (Finance and Administration) Mr. Pradeep Lanka Dharmawickrama; Assistant General Manager (Legal) and Secretary to the Board Ms. Wathsala Wickramaarachchi; Sound Designer Mr. Sasika Ruwan Marasinghe.

Delivering the tribute address, Mr. Dammith Fonseka commended Ms. Bellemere's invaluable contribution to strengthening cultural cooperation between France and Sri Lanka, particularly through her support for initiatives that have advanced and preserved Sri Lankan cinema.

Chairman Mr. Sudath Mahaadivulwewa expressed the Corporation's sincere appreciation for Ms. Bellemere's dedication to fostering artistic and cultural exchange between the two countries. He noted that her support for collaborative initiatives, film festivals, and cultural programmes had further strengthened the longstanding partnership between Sri Lanka and France.

In her remarks, Ms. Bellemere thanked the National Film Corporation for its close collaboration and the support extended to her throughout her tenure. She expressed confidence that the enduring cultural and cinematic partnership between France and Sri Lanka would continue to grow in the years ahead.

As a token of appreciation, the National Film Corporation presented Ms. Olivia Bellemere with a commemorative plaque in recognition of her outstanding contribution to cultural diplomacy and the advancement of bilateral relations through cinema.
